Meet Jason Edward Lance Bogart: Educator, Poet, and Storyteller

Born and raised in Atlantic Canada, Jason Edward Lance Bogart is an accomplished educator and published poet. After earning his Bachelor of Education from Saint Mary’s University and Acadia University in 2000, he relocated to Hong Kong, where he taught for 17 years. Since leaving Hong Kong in 2017, he has embarked on a professional journey, living in Jordan, Germany, and Brunei. Jason now teaches and resides in China with his beautiful wife Cholpon. He has two daughters, Veronica and Kayleigh and a stepson Nurseit.

Jason has published a poetry anthology titled “Saltwater Soul” and is currently working on a series of children’s books, including “Catching Unicorns” and “A Unicorn’s Great Train Ride to the Moon.” Over the past four years, he has held various educational roles, including IB Diploma Coordinator and Extended Essay Coordinator. He has taught IBDP English A Language and Literature, IGCSE First Language English & World Literature, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

Dedicated to delivering a challenging, creative, and positive student learning experience, Jason is an innovative instructor who employs a collaborative learning approach to foster comprehension, inquiry, dialogue, and appropriate academic risk-taking. He excels at preparing students for external examinations and serves as a public speaking coach. With expertise in English literature and language instruction, Jason inspires the highest standards of scholarship and intellectual curiosity. He is also interested in teaching online lessons and publishing educational materials.
